The Jersey Shore Area Joint Water Authority is pleased to announce a $1 million ARPA grant award from the Lycoming County Commissioners for the new Larry’s Creek membrane filtration water treatment plant. We would like to extend a big thank you to the Lycoming County Commissioners.
The JSAJWA was asked to host emergency response training at our Larrys Creek water plant today with Pennsylvania DEP. The DEP Emergency Response Team (ERT) members toured Larrys Creek water treatment plant to visually see how the plant operates and to perform mock sampling from their emergency sampling kits. These activities give ERT members a better understanding of the drinking water world and gives them practice with sampling kits in the event they are called out to perform emergency sampling after hours. It was our pleasure to host the training and we are looking forward to more opportunities to co-partner with DEP in the future.
